You are so silly!

I'm sure it's obvious that Miss Addison can be a tough little cookie. We have our share of rough days with her, but it doesn't mean that she doesn't have awesome days or at least moments in each day. She's a little cuddle bug, gives the best hugs, never turns down a kiss, has the best laugh, a zest for life, and says & does some pretty hilarious things. (Pics have nothing to do with each narrative...just some fun pics of Addison being goofy with Mommy.)
  • I told her that I'd give her a treat if she went potty. After she went potty we headed up the stairs to get ready for bed. She stopped in her tracks halfway up the stairs, "Mommy, you forgot to get me a bunny snack." "You're right, Addison." We marched down to get one, I fished one out, handed it to her, and she looks at me and says in all seriousness, "BUSTED." That one left me laughing all night.
  • Marc took her out sledding about a 5 minute walk from our house and the inevitable happens. "Daddy, do I have a diaper on?" (Translates to, "I have to pee, can I go right now?") Marc started pulling her back home in the sled, frequently asking her if she was still dry. After asking her several times and her responding to each, she finally said, "Yes Daddy. I'm dry 5 times." :)
  • When she had her ear infection, she was crying about it hurting so much. Mommy comfort wasn't helping, so I told her we should pray about it. After praying that Jesus would help it feel better, the second I finished praying she immediately and with all sincerity, "Mommy, pray again. It still hurts."
  • Her prayer before lunch one day, which we hadn't put anything on her plate yet. "Dear Jesus, thank you for this nice day (a staple in her prayers and says it no less than 3 times per prayer). And thank you for...{long pause to look at her plate to know what to be thankful for}...no food."
  • "5" is her favorite number currently. This conversation happens most days right now since her birthday is nearing. "First I'm going to be 3 and then 5, just like Nathan." (Her 5-year old cousin). Nathan must make 5 seem pretty awesome, because the whole 5 thing started after his birthday last month. Her mini obsession with "5" is working to our favor, too. If we tell her she can stay up a little longer, the next question is almost always, "For 5 more minutes," showing us all 5 fingers with great excitement in her voice. It's better to say "yes" to that than to explain "even longer." If our answer can have "5" in it, she's happy! Love when little things can create so much joy!
We love our spunky and sweet little girl. :)

Funny quotes, Kendra. Nathan would be proud of the 5 thing! =)

It makes me smile that Addie is wearing a Taylor shirt in these pix, because Nathan just came home with a paper from preschool today that he has to wear purple on Monday for "P" week, and I don't think we have anything! I was just thinking I wish we had a TU shirt, and then there's Addie sporting one. Maybe one of Uncle Ryan's would fit?! =)
