Christmas Fun at Home

Once Marc's Christmas break from school started we weren't at our house a whole lot. When we were home, we loved it. It was so much fun decorating this house for Christmas for the first time. Of course, it took a bit longer than usual, but it made the house feel so cozy. Marc also hung some lights outside.

Here are a few pics of Christmas at and around our house 2011.

Our couples small group, minus one couple. Boo for sickness! We've been together about 6 years now and love these people!! Our annual Christmas party always involves some sweet White Elephant gift exchanging.

This was such a cute idea. One store front in a local town had nightly performances of The Nutcracker. Girls danced in four different store front windows while many little girls watched in wonder. Addison can barely be seen, but she has a tan coat and brown and pink hat on.

Meanwhile, Brylee was all bundled up and just liked watching Mommy or Daddy smile away at her.

Addison has been picking up quite the dance moves lately! She absolutely loves to dance and boogies it down!

A few pics of the girls after church one Sunday in December.

Mommy put her close enough to get a good look at the tree and she was mesmerized!

Love this pic of Addison!

Our "Christmas" morning.

Checking out what Santa put in her stocking!

She would have been extremely happy if we let her put that paper in her mouth all day!

Oh, the anticipation!

Cuddling her tiny new baby. She also got a pig pillow pet, a soccer ball, tool and doctor sets, and clothes.

Gummy worms! Her face says it all!

Classic kid. Giving a forced smile about getting clothes for Christmas. She opened up the clothes and quickly removed them from the box, as if to see what else was going to be in it. :)

B is for Beautiful Brylee! She got some new pacifiers, a little baby of her own, and toys.

I had fun putting extra touches on all the packages this year. Also, my "solution" of using initials was great for Addison's age. She can certainly recognize her A, B, D, and M. She was able to pick out which gift was for who without any problem.

This Christmas we also attempted to do some Advent activities. It included making an ornament each day, which proved to be too much of an undertaking for Mom to pull off every day. We did some of them and she totally understood that Jesus is the Light of the World. (Day 1) :)
